Let us introduce you to our beloved trio the inspiration of Pawrpose: Pretty the Pomeranian, Kaseri the resilient cat, and Bella the affectionate companion. Each has a unique story that adds heart and joy to our app.
Pretty joined our family as a “gift” from a friend in June 2009. Her first day with us was at the beach—a place that would soon become her favorite spot. From that moment on, Pretty was a constant presence at our family business, eagerly waiting for car rides and bike trips to the shore.
As the beach mascot, Pretty starred in numerous advertising photos, embodying the fun and spirit of our coastal adventures. Always up for a walk, she would accompany us to the supermarket and beyond. With a feisty personality, she chased after two German Shepherds and even playfully nipped at sheep’s legs. Despite her bossy demeanor, she loved her owners fiercely and made it clear to any visiting dogs that she was in charge. Interestingly, Pretty had a particular aversion to older people and children, proving that even the tiniest pups can have strong opinions!
Meet Kaseri, the cat who transformed from a street survivor into the beloved younger sister of our furry family. We found her at just one month old, battling severe health issues that left her skinless and hairless. After a harrowing vet visit, it took three months of medications to nurse her back to health.
Once Kaseri started to thrive, it was time for her to meet Pretty. The initial introduction was chaotic, but soon they were playing together like true sisters. Kaseri, the youngest member of the family, is always on the lookout for her next meal. Though she carries the trauma of her early life, she has found her place in our home, particularly enjoying baking sessions in the kitchen. With a penchant for cooking 100-200 cookies a day, she lives a happy life, always close to her mother and a little wary of strangers.
After moving to Malaga, I knew I wanted to adopt a pet. My heart was set on a different cat at a shelter in Marbella, but when that cat was already adopted, fate intervened. Bella, a tall and graceful cat, came straight to me, seeking affection and companionship. From that moment, she became an inseparable part of my life.
Bella is a playful spirit who has traveled with us through Greece, Portugal, and Madrid. From day one, she claimed her spot on my lap, on my bed, and everywhere I went. Whether I’m working, sleeping, or watching TV, Bella is always by my side, eagerly waiting at the door to greet me when I come home. Her friendly nature has helped unite Pretty and Kaseri, even as the two initially viewed her with suspicion.
The stories of Pretty, Kaseri, and Bella inspire our mission at Pawrpose. We believe in the power of love and rescue, which is why we’ve recently adopted two more furry friends. Each pet brings their own joy, challenges, and unique personality, creating a vibrant and evolving family dynamic.
